1. Launch the game and install install patch 1.0.7.0 (Steam version should already be updated)

2. Complete the first misson and save the game.
3. Install LCPDFR http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/84-lcpd-first-response/
4. Test the game and LCPDFR, if it works then simply drag and drop everything from Grand Theft Auto IV to your game directory. Should look something like this C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV

DO NOT SAVE A SINGLE PLAYER GAME WITH MODS, THIS IS WHY YOU ARE HERE READING THIS SECTION...

If you get kicked randomly during game.

1. When in the main loading area go to settings

2. Go down to network Settings and check what you NAT type is.
3. If it is moderate or strict you will have to check your modems settings, normally just resetting your modem will resolve this as over time the setting can go from OPEN to Moderate to STRICT.
4. If reset does not help then you will need to make sure your internet speeds are adequate, if you are on WIFI then try connecting directly to your modem.
5. If not go to portforward.com and check to see if you can forward the ports, don’t forget to also check what ports are needed by going to Rockstar Games website.

Resolving issues with low to mid-range PC's

1. Don’t load to many mods keep it to the basics that come with the pack, the more mods the more issues that can occur.

2. If you’re having issues with texture loss and lag the best way to fix that is buy a new pc…..just kidding
3. Create a commandline.txt in the GTA IV main directory. To do this while in the main directory right click, go down to new then go to text document.
4. Paste the following into your text document. Don’t forget to SAVE before exiting the text document .

-norestrictions
-nomemrestrict
-percentvidmem 100
-memrestrict 681574400
-memrestrict 629145600
-noprecache
